Hi, I’m Margot. I’m an accredited Breathworks mindfulness teacher living in Somerset, UK. I have two grown-up children, a husband and two noisy dogs! I’ve had jobs in the past like library assistant, barmaid, and lollipop lady, and I currently volunteer with the local food bank. I started learning mindfulness in 2016, to help with anxiety and low mood during and after my parents’ final illnesses.
‘Mindfulness means paying attention in a particular way; on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgementally.’ Jon Kabat-Zinn
This blog is an attempt to record how it looks and feels in my own life when I’m mindful (for odd moments) and when I’m not (the rest of the time).
If anyone is interested or encouraged by what I write, there are loads of apps, books, blogs and courses out there offering teaching and guidance. And I’d love to hear from you in the comments.
